Surrogacy is a fertility treatment in which a woman carries a baby for another couple or individual.

      Freezing

Egg and sperm freezing are fertility preservation techniques that allow you to preserve your eggs or sperm for use in the future.

Assisted hatching is a procedure that is sometimes used in conjunction with IVF. It involves creating a small hole in the outer layer of the embryo to help it implant in the uterus.

      Preimplantation genetic testing

Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is a procedure that can be used to test embryos for genetic abnormalities before they are transferred to the uterus.

      Question Regarding

      Fertility Clinic

To help you make an informed decision about your fertility treatment, here is a list of information that you may want to ask about from a fertility clinic.

Success rates for IVF vary depending on several factors, including age, health, and other medical conditions. In general, the success rate for IVF is about 40-45%.

The process of egg retrieval usually takes around 10-15 days, from the start of ovarian stimulation to the retrieval itself. Ovarian stimulation is the process of stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs for retrieval. After retrieval, the eggs are fertilized with sperm in a lab and then transferred to the uterus.

The average success rate for IUI is around 10-20% per cycle, although this can vary depending on age, fertility issues, and other factors.

The most common side effects of fertility medications are headaches, nausea, abdominal discomfort, bloating, and breast tenderness. Some people may also experience mood swings, hot flashes, and fatigue. In rare cases, fertility medications can cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which is a condition that can cause fluid retention, weight gain, and abdominal pain. However, OHSS is quite rare, and most people who take fertility medications do not experience any serious side effects.

One risk is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), as I mentioned before. Another risk is ectopic pregnancy, which is when a fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes. This can cause severe pain and even lead to the loss of the pregnancy. Another potential risk is ovarian torsion, which is when the ovary twists and can cause pain and loss of the ovary. Finally, there is a small risk of birth defects in children conceived through assisted reproductive technologies, such as IVF.

First, it’s important to make sure you are in good overall health. This means eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and managing any chronic conditions you may have. You should also quit smoking and limit your alcohol consumption. It’s also important to reduce your stress levels, as stress can have a negative impact on fertility. Finally, you should have a thorough physical exam and lab tests to make sure you are healthy and ready to start treatment.
